Picatinny Arsenal is the center for the Department of Defense’s research, development, and acquisition of guns and ammunition and is the Army’s center of expertise for small arms cartridge ammunition. It has provided services to this country since 1880 and has led the way for weapons and ammunitions development.

The PEC will seek mission enhancements for Picatinny consistent with its vast capabilities and experience. These mission enhancements will also benefit the economy in the State of New Jersey by leveraging federal funds. The PEC believes that significant job growth can occur through an expansion of the federal civil service and private contractor workforce on Picatinny.
